Chris Grayson is a third generation funeral director having graduated from New Washington High School in 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN where he graduated in 1979. In 1981, he graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service with and Associate Degree in Funeral Service. He was inducted into the Bethel University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. Chris is a member of the board of directors of the Charlestown Excellence in Education Foundation (CEEF), and is a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He is married to the former Karen Beal and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Michael Grayson (Nicole) of Charlestown who is also a funeral director and their children Christian and Reagann, Michelle Cecil (Clint) of Louisville, KY who has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and their son Grayson, and Stephen Grayson (Katie) of Monticello, IN who is an Indiana State Trooper assigned to the Lafayette post and their children Leah and Greer.
Funeral Director/Director of Operations
Michael is a lifelong resident of Charlestown and a 1999 graduate of Charlestown High School. After attending Indiana University, Michael graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in September of 2005. He is currently a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Indiana and Kentucky, and the co-owner of B&G Mortuary Service in Charlestown. Michael is also an IHSAA licensed basketball and football official, and a founding member of Charlestown Pirate Pride Sports Broadcasting where he serves as the play by play voice for the Charlestown Pirates boys basketball team. He also volunteers as a baseball coach with the Charlestown Little League and a basketball coach with the Charlestown Basketball Developmental League. Michael is married to Nicole Zollman Grayson, and they live in Charlestown with their 2 children Christian and Reagann.
Wm. Mark Crane
Mark Crane, a licensed funeral director in Indiana and Kentucky started his career in funeral service in 1979 with his family's firm Poindexter & Son Funeral Home in Odon, IN until 1987. In 1987 Mark and his family moved to Madison, IN to work at the former Vail-Holt Funeral Home until 2006 at which time he joined the staff of Grayson Funeral Home. Mark is married to the former Vickie Niemann Davidson and they have 5 children, Breanna, Brittany, Brenton, Aimee, and Andrea. Mark is a graduate of North Daviess High School in Elnora, IN attended Tri-State University and was in the first graduating class from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN in 1981. Mark and Vickie enjoy restoring their old Cape Cod and traveling around the country visiting all their grandchildren.
Danny and his family relocated to Southern Indiana in the fall of 2013 from London, KY. He and his wife Rhonda (Bell) have one son Brody (Alexis) and two fur babies, Bella and Lou. Danny graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Danny began his career in the funeral industry in Charlestown at B&G Mortuary Service with Jason Brownfield and Michael Grayson. Danny is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Indiana and Kentucky. He also holds a Kentucky Crematory Operator Certificate. Danny and Rhonda enjoy going to estate/yard sales to find forgotten treasures from the past.
Michelle A. Campbell
Michelle A. Campbell has been employed with Grayson Funeral Home for over 15 years. She graduated from Charlestown High School and then earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University Southeast. Michelle is a leader for the Tunnel Mill Tigers 4-H Club, a Mary Kay Consultant, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She lives in Marysvile on her family farm with her husband, Jimmy and their children Blake and Izzie
Jean Reno has worked part time with Grayson Funeral Home since the purchase of the Hanover Location in July of 2011. Jean has grown up around the funeral home as the granddaughter of Chris and Lucinda Grayson and the daughter of Ed and Nancy Grayson.
She lives in Lexington, IN with her husband Rod Reno and their twin daughters Sabrina and Beth. They also have a son Robert who lives in Michigan, another son Michael who lives in Corbin, KY and a daughter Lesa who lives in Big Springs, KY. They also have a granddaughter Averie Reno who lives in Corbin, KY. She and Rod are active members of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Hanover, IN.
