We, at Grayson Funeral Home, understand after the loss of a loved one there are many times during the year that are especially difficult for families. Christmas can be the most difficult since it is a time for families to gather. The first holiday season without the presence of your loved one is understandably the most difficult.

Several years ago, we decided to give our families something that could comfort and support them as they began the holiday season. As a community service, we are again hosting a "Holiday Memorial Service" for families we have served this past year. We will have a Christmas tree decorated with lights. Upon receiving the enclosed form and the verification of your desire to attend, we will personalize an ornament with your loved one's name, and it will be placed on the tree. After the service, a family member will receive this ornament. Additional ornaments, if needed, can be purchased for three dollars each. You are encouraged to take these ornaments home and hang them on your Christmas tree.

Our "Holiday Memorial Services" will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at our funeral home located at 893 High Street in Charlestown. The service will last approximately half an hour. Refreshments will be served after the service.

So that we may be better able to provide these services, please return the enclosed form, even if additional items are not being requested. A self-addressed stamped envelope is included.

It is our hope that by attending our “Holiday Memorial Service" the holiday season will be just a little bit easier for you.
