William Joe Nichols

William “Joe” Nichols 55, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away on Saturday September 30, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was born on August 30, 1968, to Billy Wayne Nichols and Thelma Joyce Moore Nichols in Jeffersonville, IN.  He was a machinist and maintenance supervisor for several different businesses.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Isaac Nichols.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather Jo Nichols of Louisville, KY and Laura Nicole Fraliex of Elizabethtown; parents, Billy W. Nichols (Kathryn) of Elizabethtown and Thelma J. Maddox (Gary Tucker) of Eddyville, KY; grandchildren, Natalie Nichols, Joseph Fraliex, Preston Fraliex and Phoebe Fraliex; siblings, Timm Nichols (Debbie) of Owensboro, KY, Christopher Nichols (Courtney) of Pekin, IN, Patrick Nichols of Jeffersonville, IN, Benjamin Nichols of Elizabethtown, Nate Nichols of Missouri, Israel “Seth” Nichols of California, Elijah Nichols of Missouri, Layton “Barney” Maddox of Louisville, KY, Josh Gillis of Indianapolis, IN, Ellen “Lee” Wyatt (Timothy) of Henryville, IN, Tamara Marshall ( Matt) of Henryville and Dawna Watts (Adam) of Kansas; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.

A Life Celebration Gathering will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
