William Richard King

William Richard King 72 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

He was born on March 12, 1949, in Memphis, IN to Carl and Rosie Lee King.  He worked as a paver in road construction and drove a truck.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Angela D. King, brothers, Johnny King and Bob King and a grandson Joseph Williams.

Survivors include his children, Viola King of English, IN, Karen Pierson and her husband Tim of Elizabeth, IN, William R. King, II of Marysville, IN and Elvis C. King of Des Moines, IA; brother, Dewey King of Lexington, IN, sisters, Mary Shelton and Connie Berry both of Charlestown, IN; niece, Juanita Stucky of Charlestown who helped with his care, grandchildren, Geneva Buchanan, Michael Grisham, Jessica and Jennifer Pierson; great grandchildren, Braden and Jose Williams.

Life Celebration Services will be at 1 pm Monday, January 10, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12 pm to 1 pm Monday at the funeral home.
