Robert Lee Fields, 85, of New Washington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 4, 1935 in Scottsburg, IN to Lambert C. and Alma G Henderson Fields. Robert was a United States Navy Veteran, member of the American Legion Post 335, retired from Colgate Manufacturing, served as former Greater Clark County School Board Member, former 4-H Board member and as a Deacon for New Hope Community Church in New Washington.

Robert is survived by his children, Robbie (Yolly) Fields, Sonya (Kelvin) Whitfield and Melody (Steve) Knopf; his brother, William Fields; grandchildren, Robert (Jenn) Fields III, Misti Fields, Samara (Chris) Tarkington, Conner Fields, Isaac Whitfield, Van Knopf and Sam Knopf and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy; sisters, Joyce Cherry and Peggy Schafer; brother, Paul Fields and granddaughter, Megan Greenwell.
