Patty Jo Thompson, 86, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born on February 28, 1932 to Boyd and Opal (Bruce) Miller in Bloomington, IN. She was a retired medical assistant for the old Goodman Clinic, cashier for the old I.G.A. store, and inspector for the old ICI Americas. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and former past President.
Survivors include her son, Richard Thompson of New Washington, IN; daughters, Deborah Braswell (Ronnie) of Charlestown, IN, Margaret Decker (David) of Marysville, IN, and Kay Thompson (Brian Stidham) of Pekin, IN; brothers, Robert “Bo” Miller of Bronston, KY, Danny Miller of Scottsburg, IN, and Ben Miller of Scottsburg, IN; sister, Sue Anderson of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Terry Braswell, Shannon Leavitt, Aaron Thompson, Jay Thompson, Timothy Stoner, Whitney Stoner, Zach Decker, Lakoda Smith, Dakota Hadley, Brittany Etheridge, and David Stidham; 14 Great-Grandchildren. Patty Jo was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Sonny; brother, Tom Miller and sister, Mame Freels.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 3pm to 8pm, and after 9am Friday.
