Mary Louise Hopwood

Mary Louise Hopwood, 98, of Memphis, IN, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at her home.

She was born on February 17, 1922 to Alexander and Martha Brooks Druin in Memphis, IN.  Mary was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown, IN, the Blazing Bright Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #597 and the Clark County Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Hopwood; daughter, Krista Simpson; brothers, Floyd Druin, George "Pete" Druin, Ivan Druin, Kenneth Leon Druin and Ray Farrell Druin; sisters, Mamie Spurgeon, Almer Crone, Jocie Bottorff, Carrie Richey and Joanne Ellis;  son-in-Law, David Harmon and special friend, Steve Pence.

Mary is survived by her children, Janis Hall and her husband Alan of Memphis, Kevin Hopwood and his wife Mindy of Memphis, A. Neil Hopwood and his wife Teresa of Memphis, Rita Diane Harmon of Charlestown and Rhonda Hopwood of Sellersburg, IN;  grandchildren, Michael Hopwood and his wife Casey, Kristopher Hopwood and his wife Danielle, Alex Hall, Meredith Lewis and her husband Andrew, Sarah Hopwood, Alyse Cook and her husband Tyler and Victoria "Tori" McKinney and her husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Braylee Hopwood, Braxton Hopwood, Marley Cook, Piper Cook, Lily Nance, Tinslee Hopwood, Whitlee Hopwood and baby to be Hopwood and baby to be Cook both due to this family later this year and sister-in-law Betty Druin of Memphis.

Private services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Drive thru visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home.  The staff at Grayson Funeral Home will direct you upon your arrival at the funeral home.
