Lois Louise (Laswell) Helton

Obituary

Lois Louise Helton, 83 of Otisco, IN passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg, IN.

She was born on August 6, 1938, in Clark County, IN to Samuel and Alice Amick Laswell.  She was a retired Cafeteria Manager for the New Washington Elementary School and a member of New Market Christian Church.  Lois enjoyed quilting and embroidering with her mother.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Samuel Helton, David Helton and Phillip Helton, grandson, Bruce Helton; great grandson, Nathaniel Helton.

Lois is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jackie Helton; sister, Phyllis Woodward (Kendall) of New Washington, grandchildren, Kevin Helton (Treasure) of Marysville, IN, great grandchildren, Kevin Helton II and Jacob Helton and daughter in law, Janie Helton of Marysville.

Life Celebration Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in New Market Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday and after 9:00 am on Tuesday.
