Julia Anna (Danna) Bettler

Julia Anna (Danna) Bettler passed away June 2, 2021. Danna was born July 1, 1940 to John Richard Cairnes and Mabel G. Cairnes nee Reid. Danna was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband Donald R. Bettler. She is survived by both her sons, Donald R. Bettler, Jr. (Holly) and Richard B. Bettler. She is also survived by her sisters Sue Southard, Beverly Cairnes and Lee Etta Scott (Mark), three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Danna was a graduate of Charlestown High School and of Indiana University Southeast. Until retirement, she worked for the Charlestown Housing Authority. In retirement, Danna stayed busy with arts and crafts, especially quilting in her later years. Her quilting group was a great source of friendship and camaraderie. She was an active and founding member of the Pleasant Ridge Neighborhood Association.

A celebration of Danna’s life will be held Sunday June 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Grayson’s Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana.
