Jason Becknell Obituary

Jason Brian Becknell, 45, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

He was born on July 29, 1975 in Lexington, KY to Jim and Kay Adams Becknell. Jason worked as a HVAC technician for the Kroger Company, was a member of the Men's Auxiliary of VFW Post 1427 and enjoyed, hunting and fishing, playing cards, long walks with his daughters while exploring the creek on his property, UK sports and all types of music.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, December Michelle Becknell.

Jason is survived by his wife, Melissa Becknell; his parents, Jim and Kay Becknell of Charlestown;  daughters, Emily (Patrick) Burke of Charlestown, Christina Gabbard of Charlestown, Angela Gabbard of Charlestown and Briana Becknell of Charlestown;  brother, Michael Becknell (Laura) of Sellersburg, IN;  cousin, Chad Becknell of Nicholasville;  grandchildren, Carter Short, Kurtis Short and Chloe Short all of Charlestown; niece, Jordan Becknell and nephew, Connor Becknell both of Sellersburg.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday and after 12 pm on Saturday.
