Janet R. (Walters) May

Janet R. May 85 of Lexington, IN passed away on Sunday November 5, 2023, at the home of her daughter in New Washington, IN.

Janet was born on March 31, 1938, in Charleston, WV to George and Thelma Castle Walters.  She was a member of the House of Refuge Ministries in Nabb, IN.  She enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, eating at Texas Roadhouse, attending her church and being involved in the church’s activities and spending time with her family.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles May, brothers, Wayne Walters, Allen Walters and Marvin Walters; sisters, Georgia Hall, Shirley Zollman and Pauline May.

Survivors, include her son, Eddie May (Stephanie) of Marysville, IN; daughters, Dianna Tucker (Reggie) of New Washington and Teresa Scarbrough (Lewis) of Otisco; brother, Mike Walters (Brenda); grandchildren, Charlie, Justin, A.J., Cody, Alyssa, James, Rachel, Megan Petty and Nathan Scarborough; great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Caiden, Dallas, Samuel, Asher, Aspen, Adeline, Tripp, Naomi, Natalya, Hadley and Justus Wooten. 

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday November 9, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.
