Jackie Leon Helton

Jackie Leon Helton 85 of Otisco, IN passed away on Sunday August 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born December 22, 1937, in Gordon, KY to Bruce and Martha Shepherd Helton.  Jackie was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church but attended New Market Christian Church and retired from General Electric after more than 37 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois Helton; sons, Samuel, David and Phillip; grandson, Bruce Helton; great grandson, Nathaniel Helton; sisters, Shirley Boling, Wanda Griffin, Betty Doane; brothers, Don Helton and James Helton.

Survivors include his daughter in law, Janie Helton; grandson, Kevin Helton (Treasure), great grandsons, Kevin Helton II, Jacob Helton; sisters, Norma Amick (Frank) of Marysville, IN; brothers, Ralph Helton (Teresa) of Sellersburg, IN, Tom Helton (JoAnn) of Charlestown, IN.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday August 30, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in New Market Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and after 9:00 am on Wednesday.
