Jack R. Boger, 89 of Charlestown, IN. passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the home of his daughter.
Jack was born on April 10, 1931 in Petersburg, IN the son of Claude and Audra O’Hara Boger. He worked for the Monon Railroad and retired from International Harvester in Louisville, KY. Jack loved to buy and sell antiques and was known as a picker before pickers were considered cool. He played fast pitch softball in an Industrial league in his younger years enjoyed watching good college basketball and watching horse racing.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Jacquie Samples of Charlestown, IN, Shawna R. Helton(Emmett) of Charlestown, IN, Jocelyn “Debbie” McKinnon of California; sons, Terry M. Boger(Lynn) of Woodstock, GA and Jeff Boger of Memphis, IN; sisters, Linda, Sue and Esther; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 67 years Mable Leona Boger; son, Connie Mark Boger; granddaughter, Amber Rae Boger; grandson, Jacob Boger.
Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers in memory of Mr. Boger may take the form of donations to "Boger Boys" Blessings in a backpack C/O Boger Ministries, 4222 Highland Oakes Drive, New Albany, IN 47150 or Cancer Research Institute.
