Edith Mae Blackwell, 70, of New Albany, IN. passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at her son’s home in Campbellsburg, KY. She was born on October 1, 1951, in Jeffersonville, IN. to the late Virgil and Dora Milburn Trent. Edith enjoyed playing slot machines, attending concerts at the River Stage, dancing, giving her grandbabies candy, collecting bracelets and jewelry, and watching butterflies.

Edith is survived by her children, Candida Bruner of Charlestown, IN., and Josh (Kendra) Blackwell of Campbellsburg, KY. By her grandchildren, Nova and Stanley Blackwell, Emily and Caitlyn Prewitt, and Jayla Bruner; and her great-grandson, Silas Hayes. She is also survived by all her siblings, Deloris Fulkerson, Ernest Trent, Mary Jones, Betty Montgomery, Loren Trent, and Bobbie McBride.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date.
