Dixie Fae (Bolin) Kern

Dixie Fae Kern 61, of Floyds Knobs, IN passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Baptist Health Louisville.

She was born on November 4, 1960, in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Walter L. and Mary Bruner Bolin.  She was a former production scheduler for NYX of New Albany, IN.  She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father who raised her, Allen Christie, Sr., son, Johnny Kern and nephews Chris Brewer and Daniel Sizemore.

Survivors include her daughter, Tomi Gee of Clarksville, IN; brother, Allen Christie, Jr., and his wife Carrie of Mt. Eden, KY; sisters, Pixie Burkhead and her husband Homer of Floyds Knobs, Malinda Askren and her husband Brad of Jeffersonville, IN and Lorrie Hughes and her husband Wyatt of Paris, IL; grandchildren, William Tyler Gee, Makenna Gee and Ian Kern and several nieces and nephews

Life Celebration Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday and after 9:00 am on Tuesday.
