Dakota "Cody" Cox

Dakota “Cody” Cox, 22 died from injuries he sustained in an auto accident in Louisville, KY on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

Cody was born on December 11, 1997 in Jeffersonville, IN the son of Jesse and Angela Dabney Cox. He was an expert mechanic recently working Ken Towery Tires. Cody loved working on cars especially his Honda CRX, racing, and drifting. His family described him as loving, faithful, loyal, compassionate, and always could make you laugh, but we also must mention he was always picking on his brothers and sisters.

Cody is survived by his, parents, Jesse and Angela Cox of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Patricia Cox of California, Anastasia Cox of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Tanner Simpson of Arkansas, Caleb and Juden Cox both of Charlestown, IN; grandparents, Patrick Dabney of Charlestown, Adriana Ramsey of Clarksville, IN, Rachel Cox of Jeffersonville, IN and Jean and Randall Varney of Otisco, IN; great-grandparents, Colleen and Deb Dabney of Charlestown, IN and Patsy White of Charlestown, IN; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

Life Celebration services for Cody will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services. Cody may you Race in Paradise from all your racing buddies
