Clifton D. Meador, 84, of Otisco, Indiana, left his earthly home and flew into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022.
Clifton was born May 11, 1937, in Cave City, Kentucky to Reuben D. and Cora Celia (Jessie) Meador who preceded him. He was the oldest of their four children.
Clifton graduated from Charlestown High School in 1955. He was retired from General Electric and Cherry Burrell. He was a member of Blazing Star Lodge #226 and Blazing Bright Chapter #597 OES. He was also a faithful member of Eastside Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth, and his sister Mary Frances Cardwell. Clifton is survived by his children, David Meador (Cindy), Otisco, Indiana; Cheryl Green (Gary), New Albany, Indiana; and Clarissa Keith (Ronnie), Otisco, Indiana. Five grandchildren, Candace Slay (Tom), Brandon Keith (Jenna), Craig Meador (Michelle), Gabhriel Wakefield and Rebakah Keith; 10 great-grandchildren, Audrey Slay, Kayleigh Wakefield, Elliana Keith, Beckett Wakefield, Clay Meador, Andrew Keith, Ava Meador, Cooper Slay, Pierson Slay and Emersyn Slay. Sisters, Cora Ann Collier and LaVerne Zimmerman (Bill). Brothers-in-law, Willard Crase, Arvil Crase (Violet) and Charles Crase (Alice); sisters-in-law, Willa St. John, Louama Kelly (Ken), Francine Baker (Kenny) and Viola Crase. Many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A life Celebration Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, January 7 and after 9:00 am Saturday at Grayson Funeral Home.
Masonic and Eastern Star Services will be held beginning at 6:30 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the funeral home.
