Billie Ray Durham Sr.

Billie Ray Durham Sr., 63 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at his home.

Billie Ray was born on May 27, 1956 in Jeffersonville, IN the son of William Charles Durham and Norma Juanita Brooks Durham Bales. He retired after 38 years of service with the Indiana Department of Transportation. Billie Ray’s family described him as happy go lucky, a jokester and never met a stranger, kind of guy. Billie Ray was an avid UK Wildcat Fan, enjoyed taking trips on his Gold Wing Honda Motorcycle, riding Four-Wheelers and of course his dance moves.

Billie Ray is survived by his daughters, Sara Barnett of Clarksville, IN and Cindy Durham of Jeffersonville, IN; sister, Sandy Gaither and her husband Charles of Lexington, IN; brothers, Mike Durham and his wife Sharon and Gregory Durham all of Sellersburg, IN; fiancé, Mary Wooten of Charlestown, IN; seven grandchildren including Zoey Pildner(His little me). Billie Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billie Ray Durham Jr.; daughter, Devin Renee Durham; sister, Karen Abbott.

A life celebration service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Hibernia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
