Bernice Thornton,86, of Nabb, IN passed from this earth on a beautiful Sunday morning April 24, 2022. She was at home with her daughter Lisa Steinfort and her son-in-law Tim Steinfort. She was born on January 18, 1936 and delivered at home by her father Robert B. Eaker on his birthday. What a wonderful birthday present the birth of your first born child!

She loved to travel all over the United States discovering the fascinating American History facts that make up this great country of ours especially the American Indians. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family and all of its history never ceased to amaze her. Even though she wasn’t a member of a particular church in recent years, she always practiced and shared her deep love of Christ with everyone. She also enjoyed spending time reading and cooking.

She is survived by her son Leslie Branscum of Quitman, AR, and his wife Janet; her daughter Lisa Gross-Steinfort of Nabb, IN and her husband Tim; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on April 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Rest Haven Cemetery in Menard, TX
