Barbara Jean (Scruggs) Hoagland

Barbara Jean Hoagland 86, of Otisco, IN passed away on Wednesday September 8, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital.

She was born on September 10, 1934, in Gallatin, TN to Billy and Bertha Turner Scruggs.  She was a retired employee of Phillip Morris in Louisville, Ky after 32 years of service and was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Hoagland, siblings, Oak Scruggs, Jim Scruggs, Katherine Adams, John A. Scruggs, Georgia Perry, Ruby Carter, Robert Scruggs, Rosie Walker, Gracie McCormick, Lola Bell Conyer and a great granddaughter, Nevaeh Hoagland.

Barbara is survived by her children, Cindy Boggs and her husband Paul of Otisco; son, Jim Hoagland and his wife Pam of Charlestown, IN; foster daughter, Vicki Jones and her husband David of Otisco; brother, Billy T. Scruggs of Charlestown, granddaughter, Kayla Dean and grandson Jacob Jones, great granddaughter, Ashlynn Dean and great grandson, James Dean.

Life Celebration Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday September 13, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday and after 9:00 am on Monday.
