Anna Mae (Stockdale) Roseberry

Anna Mae Roseberry, 79 of Charlestown IN passed away peacefully at BeeHive in Scottsburg IN. on Thursday, January 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Anna was born May 16, 1943, she was a loving mother and Mamaw. Her heart was fulfilled in life with love and joy spending time with her family and friends.

Anna loved and cherished her life with her late husband, Larry with whom she traveled taking multiple vacations to Hawaii, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Mexico, and Aruba, cruises, and countless other vacations in the US. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending quality time baking, going to their 4-H events, and watching all their sporting activities. She loved to follow IU basketball and the Atlanta Braves baseball.

Anna enjoyed spending each of her working years at the ICI Americas plant in Charlestown and S.R. Wood in Clarksville, IN. for 37 years making many lifelong friends along the way.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Earl “Larry” Roseberry: her parents, Robert and Esther Stockdale, her brothers, Infant Roy Lee Stockdale, Virgil Stockdale (Judy), Gene Stockdale, and a sister, Wilma Cox (Eugene); brothers-in-law, Kenny Prewitt, Robert Rousch, and Carl Roseberry (Lenny).

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Teresa Zollman (Kevin), and Susan Chamness (Michelle), and her grandchildren, Nicole Grayson (Michael), Whitney Stettenbenz (Kyle), and Austin Chamness (Kara). Great grandchildren, Christian, Reagann, Kimber, and Kinley; sisters, Inez Prewitt, and Mary Rousch; sister-in-law, Patsy Stockdale, and brother-in-law, Gary Roseberry (Christie). Anna will also be missed by her fur friend, Henry.

Anna’s family would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the staff and caregivers of the BeeHive.  We appreciate all the compassionate, loving care that was given.

The family asks that lieu of flowers donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Crusade for Children in memory of Anna.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, beginning at 11 am at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 12 pm until 5 pm and again on Monday from 9 am until service time also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
