Alex Larue Carlisle, Sr.

Alex Larue Carlisle, Sr., “Bubble Gum Man” 87 of Marysville, IN passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Westminster Healthcare in Clarksville, IN.

Alex was born on July 17, 1931 in New Albany, IN. to Oscar and Melvie Warren Carlisle.  He was a retired Driver for Wiggam Lumber in New Washington, IN and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Pullum Carlisle; son, Larue Carlisle, Jr., of Nabb, IN; daughters, Helen Tabor of Scottsburg, IN and Tammy Carlisle of Jeffersonville, IN; brother, Maurice Carlisle of Brandenburg, Ky; grandchildren, Misty, Sam, Atraill, Tanner, Laniaka, Ashley, Brittany, Gabby, Dakota and Summer; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday and after 9 am on Tuesday.
