Roland Gerald Fortin

Roland Gerald Fortin, 83, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born on June 10, 1934 to August and Valada (Beuque) Fortin in Quebec, Canada. He was a retired carpenter, member of the Labor Union #795 of New Albany, and a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Survivors include his step-son, Tony Marsh of DePauw, IN; step-daughter, Carol Deal of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Kiwi Thompson, of New Albany, IN, Toni Medlock of Georgetown, IN, Shellie Marsh of Broomfield, CO, Tony Marsh of Clarksville, IN, and Trinity Horn of Clarksville, IN; great-grandchildren, Krystal, Alexa, Kalan, Cheyenne, Luke, Bailee, and Maxwell; sister, Janine Fortin, brothers, Victor Fortin, and Clermont Fortin. Mr. Fortin was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Josephine Wilson Fortin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4th, 2017 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg, IN. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm, and after 11am on Friday.
