Robert "Bob" Dale Gullion, Sr

Robert “Bob” Dale Gullion, Sr.  of Charlestown, Indiana passed on September 16, 2019 at U of L hospital.

Robert was born on July 7, 1945 in Rising Sun, IN to the late Herschel and Irene (Dickerson) Gullion.  Bob was an auto mechanic.  

Bob was devoted to caring for his family.  He worked at “Gullion’s Garage” as the owner and operator for the last 45 years.  Bob lived out his passion, building and driving race cars.  He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and for his devotion to helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann (Bonney) Gullion; son, Robert Gullion, Jr. (Callita) of Jeffersonville; daughters, Lisa Evans (Richard) of Jeffersonville, IN and Kimberly Tucker (Ron) of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Fred Gullion (Rowena) and Larry Gullion (Ruth); sisters, Jeanetta Jackson and Joyce Gibson; grandchildren,  Brandon Helton (Lauren), Ashley Evans, Brittany Minard (Patrick), Taylor Tucker (Justin), Kimberlyn Evans, Chesney Tucker (Daniel), Jarrod Tucker, Gavin Gullion, and Garrett Gullion; great grandchildren: Aiden Norton, Mason Norton, Wyatt Helton Tynlee Helton, Knox Grantz, Zaylee Crawley, and Jaylynn Crawley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Russell and Donald.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 21, 2019  at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial at Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from at 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday September 20, 2019 and after 9:00 am on Saturday.
