Norma Lee (Sims) Allen

Norma Lee Allen, 85 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Autumn Woods in New Albany, IN.  Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Norma was born on June 24, 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky. She loved working in her yard, gardening, her dogs, canning and taking care of her fruit trees.  Norma was a wonderful cook, made the best coleslaw and just enjoyed working on her five acres, even sealed her own driveway.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William (Bill) Allen; sisters, Betty Jo Boshears and Jewell Getce; and brother Earl; son and daughter-in law James Morgan Allen and Janet Allen.

She is survived by her son, David (Judy) Toler of Owensboro, KY; step son, Jack (Kathy) Allen of San Leandro, CA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Toler, Shana (Gilman) Peterson, Matt Allen, Jason (Donna) Creamer and Greg (Julie) Creamer; several great-grandchildren including one special great-grandchild Shelby that got to visit Norma often; brothers, Everett (Judy) Sims, Lonnie Sims and Charlie Sims all of Ashtabula, OH; sister, Judy (John) Foglio of White Lake, MI.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday until the time of services.
