James Edward Roederer

James E. Roederer, 79, of New Washington, IN passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Roederer was born June 23, 1938 and was the son of Daniel A. and Inez P. Buchanan Roederer. He was a delivery driver for several local auto part stores and he retired from Hausman Motor Company. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union and the New Washington Christian Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Oliver Roederer, and brother, Ralph Roederer.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Edna Roederer, daughter, Pamela Sprague, San Jose, CA, step-children, Tony Meek (Lisa), Louisville, Donna (Steve) Yeager, Harrodsburg, KY, and Jeff Meek (Pam) New Washington; Twelve grandchildren, Jake Smith, Jeffrey and Rachel Meek, Derick Cochran, Whittney Sepko, Kevin, Kaytie, Matt, David, and Jimmy Yeager, Amy Bond and Kyle Meek; Twenty-two great-grandchildren; Two nephews, Doug(Debbie) and Paul(Liz) Roederer and a niece Shari (Steve) Geary.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Amedisys Hospice Care at 305 Quartermaster Ct. in Jeffersonville.
