George Sizemore

George Sizemore, 82, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

He was born on September 7, 1934 to Roy and Polly Sizemore in Leslie Co., KY. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired assembly line worker for Cissell Manufacturing, member of the American Legion Post 335, and VFW Post 1427.. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Shelby Sizemore, Dean Sizemore, William Lee Sizemore, Patrick Sizemore, Rella Gibson, and Thelma Prince.

Survivors include his brothers, Ira Sizemore of New Washington, IN, Bill Sizemore of Louisville, KY, Reuben Sizemore of Mt. Washington, KY, and Ronnie Sizemore of Hazard, KY; sisters, Stella Caudill of St. Petersburg, FL, Henrietta Colwell of Shepherdsville, KY, and Barbara Ann Colwell of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 5pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 3:30pm at the Campbell’s Creek Cemetery near Hyden, KY.
