Deanne Moore Obituary

 

Deanne Witten Moore, 79, of Charlestown passed away peacefully on Sunday May 12, 2019 at her home.  She was born September 17, 1939 in Bethlehem, IN to Raymond and Esther (Meek) Witten who preceded her in death.

Deanne was a 1957 graduate of Charlestown High School.  She met the love of her life, William “Bill” Moore, while attending Indiana University where she graduated from IU’s second class of Physical Therapy in 1961.  They were married that year and enjoyed 47 years of marriage.  Bill preceded her in death in September of 2009.  Deanne was a long time member and volunteer of the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children; Rebecca Putnam (Harold), Brett Moore (Amanda) both in Charlestown, and David Moore (Amy) in Floyds Knobs; ten grandchildren, Kristen, Amber, Esther, Emily, Cody, Sarah, Courtney, Brady, Lily, and Taylor; one great grandchild, Kylie; two sisters, Dorothy Witten, Charlestown, and Jackie Darrah (Dwaine) of Herndon, VA; one brother, Jim Witten (Anne) of Sellersburg, and many close relatives and friends.

A Life Celebration service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown, IN. Visitation and desserts served from 2:30 to 4:00 PM in Chattin Hall at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her honor to the Youth Group at the First United Methodist Church at 423 Main Cross Street, Charlestown, IN 47111
