Betty (McClellan) Nelson

Betty Nelson, 85 of Charlestown passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Beehive Homes of Scottsburg, IN.

Betty was born September 29, 1934 in Jefferson County, IN the daughter of Dallas Lawrence and Elsie Matthews McClellan. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown.

Betty is survived by her sons, Ricky Nelson and his wife Teresa of Charlestown, Stephen Nelson and his wife Michelle of Louisville, KY and Robert Nelson and his wife Tabby of Charlestown; grandchildren, Melissa Florence, Brandon and Michael Nelson; great-grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Douglas, Josh and Jarrod. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Nelson in 2013; brother, Dallas McClellan in 2017; sister, Martha Austin in 2012.

Life Celebration services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
