Christa Margot (Kraus) May

Christa Margot May, 88 of Marysville, IN passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Mrs. May was born on December 10, 1928 in Berlin, Germany the daughter of Heinrich and Erna Kulf Kraus. Christa married Owen May in Germany while he was stationed there and returned to the United States with him in 1952. She was an expert seamstress and will be remembered for her sweetness and exceptional devotion to Owen. Christa was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and through these last few weeks, her smile and kind disposition endured throughout. 

Survivors include her nieces and nephews including, Collette Powell(Bob) of Marysville, IN and Connie Johnson(John) of Shepherdsville, KY; Penny and Bronson Barth and Bethie whom she considered a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen Austin May on August 15, 2013.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in New Market Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in memory of Christa to the New Market Cemetery Association.
