Buford Dewey Jones

Buford Dewey Jones, 89 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday March 2, 2018 at his sons home.

He was born on December 30, 1928 to Johnny and Helen Goforth Jones in Kentucky. He was a retired woodworker for Kitchen Kompact in Jeffersonville, IN, former owner of Jones’s Grocery and Hoosier Concrete and a member of the Main Cross Baptist Church in Charlestown.

Buford was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Jones and Charles Jones; son-in-law, Steve Graebe.

Survivors include his sons, Ronnie Jones (Retha) of Charlestown, Donnie Jones (Regina) of Charlestown; daughters, Janice Raney (Terry) of Marysville, IN and Dedra Graebe of Charlestown; brother, Rev. Charles Jones of Charlestown; sisters, Josephine Davidson of Charlestown and Ruth Davidson of Charlestown, daughters-in law, Shirley Jones of Nabb, IN and Barbara Jones of Charlestown. He has 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Ring.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12 pm to 8 pm on Monday and after 10 am on Tuesday.
